August 8, 2025Inclusion Cannot Wait — And Neither Can We
On July 11, INS Orthotics LTD proudly joined Special Children’s Trust (SCT Uganda) at the 10th Annual Awareness & Fun Day for Children with Disabilities, held at MTN Arena, Lugogo. The theme for 2025 — “Inclusion Cannot Wait” — is a bold reminder that access, dignity, and opportunities for children with disabilities must not be delayed.
As Uganda’s leading provider of orthotic and assistive mobility solutions, we were honoured to be part of this empowering event, offering hands-on support to children, families, caregivers, and institutions.
Event Highlights: A Day of Connection and Impact
🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Location: MTN Arena, Lugogo
🎉 Theme: Inclusion Cannot Wait
🧭 Sub-theme: Promises to Progress – True Inclusion Starts with Access
Throughout the day, our dedicated team was available at the INS Orthotics exhibition tent, demonstrating a wide array of products designed to enhance independence, comfort, and mobility for children with physical challenges.
What We Showcased at the Event
✅ Paediatric Wheelchairs – Lightweight and adjustable, tailored to meet the growth and comfort needs of children with cerebral palsy or muscular conditions.
✅ Supportive Braces – For limb support, postural correction, and improved stability.
✅ Positioning Aids – Designed for better seating, lying, and standing alignment, essential in therapy and daily routines.
✅ Sensory & Therapy Tools – To support learning, coordination, and emotional regulation in children with developmental delays.
These tools are not just equipment — they are gateways to participation, learning, and self-expression.
Why This Event Matters
For children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscle tone disorders, or developmental delays, access to the right orthotic devices can be life-changing. Unfortunately, many children in Uganda still lack access due to awareness gaps, cost, or social stigma.
Events like this one bridge the gap — connecting families with service providers like INS Orthotics LTD, sharing knowledge, and reaffirming the urgent need for inclusive policies and infrastructure.
“True inclusion begins with access — and access begins with awareness. This event reminds us that no child should be left behind because of a disability.”
