Home Rehabilitation Equipment in Uganda: A Guide for Injury, Surgery & Stroke Recovery
September 24, 2026Three days of free orthopedic consultations, community engagement, and mobility support at Kasangati Health Centre IV. Access to orthopedic care can make a meaningful difference in someone’s ability to move comfortably, remain independent, and participate in everyday life. Yet for many people, getting professional guidance and appropriate rehabilitation support is not always easy. From 26th to 28th August 2026, INS Orthotics Limited (INSOL) partnered with the Uganda Orthopaedic Officers Association (UOOA) for a three-day non-surgical orthopedic camp at Kasangati Health Centre IV, bringing free orthopedic consultations, care, and mobility support closer to the community.
Three Days Dedicated to Better Mobility
The outreach created an opportunity for community members to access professional orthopedic guidance without consultation fees. The camp focused on non-surgical orthopedic care, helping people seek advice about mobility difficulties, musculoskeletal concerns, and the rehabilitation support available to them. For INSOL, participating in the initiative was about more than showcasing products. It was an opportunity to engage directly with the community, support the work of orthopedic professionals, and contribute to greater awareness of assistive devices and rehabilitation solutions.
INSOL on the Ground
Throughout the outreach, the INSOL team participated in community engagement activities alongside healthcare professionals and other participants. Our exhibition area featured a range of orthopedic and mobility-support products, creating opportunities for visitors to learn about assistive devices and their role in supporting daily activities. From mobility aids to orthopedic supports, these interactions helped connect community members with information about solutions designed to improve comfort, movement, and independence.
Stronger Partnerships, Greater Community Impact
The collaboration between UOOA and INSOL highlighted the importance of partnerships in expanding access to rehabilitation and orthopedic services. Community outreach initiatives bring professional knowledge and practical support closer to people who may otherwise face difficulties accessing specialized care. They also create valuable opportunities to raise awareness about the importance of seeking appropriate assessment and guidance when experiencing mobility or musculoskeletal challenges. By working together, healthcare professionals, organizations, and community partners can help strengthen awareness and improve access to support.
Our Commitment Goes Beyond Products
At INSOL, we believe that improving mobility begins with understanding people’s needs. Our participation at Kasangati HC IV reflected our commitment to supporting community healthcare initiatives, promoting disability inclusion, and encouraging greater awareness of rehabilitation and assistive technology. The three-day camp was another opportunity to put our mission into practice: We appreciate the Uganda Orthopaedic Officers Association, the team at Kasangati Health Centre IV, the participating healthcare professionals, and everyone who contributed to the outreach. As we continue working with healthcare and community partners, INSOL remains committed to empowering mobility and enhancing lives across Uganda.
