Walking for Inclusion: INSOL Proudly Supports the CoRSU Disability Walk 2026
October 5, 2026INS Orthotics Limited joined Stanbic Bank’s Staff Health & Wellness Love Week at Umoja House, Nakasero, bringing free consultations, practical wellness awareness, and mobility-support solutions closer to employees.
A productive workday should never come at the expense of personal health.
For many office professionals, long hours behind a desk, limited physical activity, and repetitive daily routines have become part of working life. Over time, these habits may contribute to back discomfort, neck strain, poor posture, and other musculoskeletal concerns. Recognizing the importance of preventive care, INS Orthotics Limited (INSOL) participated in the Stanbic Staff Health & Wellness Love Week 2026 at Umoja House, Nakasero, Kampala, supporting employees with free consultations and awareness about workplace wellness.
Bringing Wellness Closer to the Workplace
During Day 3 of the wellness program, the INSOL team engaged with staff and visitors, sharing information about orthopedic, rehabilitation, and wellness products that may support people working in office environments. The initiative provided an opportunity to discuss everyday health concerns associated with prolonged sitting, limited movement, and poor workstation habits. Through these interactions, INSOL encouraged employees to pay greater attention to their physical well-being and understand when professional assessment or appropriate support may be beneficial.
Why Workplace Mobility Matters
Working at a desk may appear physically undemanding, but remaining in one position for extended periods can place strain on the body. Common concerns among office workers include:
- Lower back discomfort: Sometimes associated with prolonged sitting and inadequate lumbar support.
- Neck and shoulder tension: Often linked to poorly positioned screens, desks, and chairs.
- Wrist and hand discomfort: Which may be aggravated by repetitive computer use.
- Leg discomfort and stiffness: Which can occur when movement is limited throughout the day.
Maintaining healthy movement habits, adjusting workstation ergonomics, and seeking professional advice when symptoms persist can help employees manage these challenges.
INSOL’s Practical Approach to Employee Wellness
At the event, INSOL showcased a selection of orthopedic and rehabilitation products while engaging visitors in discussions about mobility, comfort, and everyday physical well-being. The exhibition created opportunities to learn about different assistive and supportive devices, their intended uses, and the importance of selecting products according to individual needs. Our message was simple: Sitting for long hours should not mean ignoring your health. While assistive devices may provide appropriate support in certain situations, they work best when combined with healthy movement habits, suitable workplace ergonomics, and professional guidance where needed.
Small Habits That Make a Difference
Workplace wellness does not always require major lifestyle changes. Simple, consistent habits can help employees remain more active during the working day. Taking regular movement breaks, adjusting sitting posture, positioning computer screens appropriately, and incorporating physical activity into daily routines can all contribute to better physical well-being. Employees experiencing persistent pain, numbness, or movement difficulties should seek assessment from a qualified healthcare professional rather than relying solely on self-selected supportive products.
Beyond Mobility: Supporting Healthier Workplaces
INSOL’s participation in the Stanbic Staff Health & Wellness Love Week reflects our commitment to extending rehabilitation awareness beyond clinical environments. By bringing information and support directly to employees, we aim to encourage early attention to musculoskeletal health and help people make informed decisions about their mobility and well-being. We appreciate Stanbic Bank for creating an opportunity to promote employee wellness and for welcoming INSOL to participate in this important initiative. At INSOL, we believe that healthy workplaces begin with healthy people.
Move regularly. Work comfortably. Prioritise your health.
Bring Workplace Wellness to Your Organization
INSOL welcomes opportunities to work with companies, institutions, and organizations interested in promoting mobility awareness, workplace ergonomics, and rehabilitation support. Whether through wellness exhibitions, product awareness sessions, or community outreach initiatives, we remain committed to helping people understand the importance of movement and independence.
